Pet First Level 2 (VTQ)

Pet First Aid Training Course Description:

This in-person course will train you to recognise abnormalities and early warning signs in pets and teach you essential first aid skills to manage the most common emergencies. You will also learn vital pre-vet care and life-saving techniques for situations where immediate action can make all the difference.

The course is ideal for pet owners and pet professionals. The majority of knowledge is based on dogs and cats, but the knowledge is suitable for most other animals too.

• Dog CPR and practical

• Choking and dry drowning

• Heat stroke and hypothermia

• Poisoning and stings

• Broken bones and spinal injuries

• Cuts, bumps, grazes, and blood loss

• Tick removal

• Bloat

• Vomiting and gastrointestinal emergencies

• Shock

• Recognising emergency warning signs

• Essential pre-vet care and life-saving techniques

• How to check vital signs
