Top and Tails is a team of sitters in Bourne and Lincoln. We are all DBS Checked, Insured and have Full Driving Licenses.

We prefer to give our clients 1 regular sitter, but being a team enables us to cover sittings in emergencies or offer clients a different sitter as an alternative if their usual sitter isn't available.

My aim for Top and Tails is to produce a worry-free service for all our clients, as a pet owner one of my biggest fears is the worry of leaving my family member behind. My knowledge and understanding of reactive dogs, unique pets and different families helped me develop a service that caters for a wide variety of furry, scaley and feathered pets. I absolutely love managing a team of likeminded people, working together to continually improve and better our services for our clients and their pets. I hope to meet as many of you as I can while I travel between the two!

While growing up I have had several pets, including dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, corn snakes and budgies. Coming home to my three-and-a-half-year-old border collie warms my heart. Pets are not just animals they are a part of the family, and they deserve our respect, to be nurtured, loved and of course lots of treats and fuss. I look forward to meeting you and your pets. Jamie

From hamsters to horses, ducks and chickens. There is not an animal that I have not looked after. Our house was nicknamed the farmyard, due to the amount of animals we had. Your pet will be cared for and loved, the way that I love and care for my animals. If they love to play, we can play until their heart is full. If they just want to be cuddled, I am happy for that, or if they want a walk just to collect a stick... I will source it for them. Having lived in the area for over 20 years I certainly know where all the good sticks can be found! I have also attended numerous agility and obedience classes, so understand the basic skills.

I currently have a 13 year old rescue Cocker Spaniel and I have 2 cats who are 4 and 5 years old, so they definitely keeps us on the ball! I have been recently DBS checked and I can provide reliable and caring pet minding services! Whether your furry friend just needs a quick walk around the block, a longer adventure or just some company, I’m here to ensure they get the exercise and attention they deserve! Growing up on a small farm, I have always had a great interest in animals. I have my own two ponies and a border collie, and developed a passion for dogs and am currently training my collie to become a working dog. I am currently studying for my qualification in Level 3 Animal Management. As part of this course I have accrued over 200 hours work experience with a dog trainer learning how to carry out group dog training as well as one to one training. I also have experience in farm husbandry. My passion is definitely dogs and I enjoy spending time training and playing with all breeds.

From having Great Danes to Terriers as family pets, I have a love and interest in all breeds, sizes and types of doggies (especially their different personalities) ! I currently have an 18 month old Springadoor who has the body of a labrador but personality and energy of a small Springer Spaniel! Before Top & Tails, I have worked for multiple different families for multiple years in which I have cared for, walked, played with and lived with their fur babies when they’re are unable to- I hope to continue this further with different families within the surrounding area for Top&Tails. I have a recent Basic DBS check.

I’ve always been a big animal lover, with a special soft spot for cats. Having grown up with pets all my life, I know how much they mean to us. For the past few years, I’ve been casually pet sitting, and now I’m excited to take it to the next level as I pursue a career working with animals. I’m currently studying pet first aid and pet psychology to deepen my knowledge and ensure that your furry friends are in the best hands. Whether it’s giving them extra cuddles, playing their favorite games, or just being there to keep them company, I’m here to make sure your pets feel loved and cared for while you’re away.

I have always had pets growing up and my love for them has grown with age. For as long as I can remember we’ve never had a home without a pet, wether that be a guinea pig, fish or a dog or two. We have recently welcomed a Labrador puppy who loves to greet us with the waggiest tail. A pet is not just a pet but a member of the family and they deserve every bit of attention they get. I think we can all agree there is nothing better than going on a walk with your best friend come rain or shine.

I grew up on a farm, which nurtured my deep love for animals, especially dogs and horses. Over the past few years, I have worked for numerous families, caring for a wide variety of pets — from dogs and cats to horses and ducks — while house-sitting for up to two weeks at a time. I currently have three dogs of my own, who are my absolute world, and I’m passionate about animal welfare. I’ve also been involved with the Burghley Pony Club, where I volunteered to help younger riders care for their ponies after being a member myself for many years. Having grown up around horses and brought on green horses of my own, I have extensive knowledge of their care and welfare. My experience, combined with my love for animals, makes me confident in my ability to provide excellent care for both pets and horses.

Where would we be with out our furry companions? As those of us know, coming home or waking up to the happy tapping of paws on the ground and excited wagging of tails, there are not many feelings that quite match the joy it brings, they are our companions and will always be more than just a pet. As an Ex- forces dog handler, understanding the relationship between myself and my dog was vital, and gave me many lessons to carry on in future employments and daily life.

I was surrounded by so many pets when I was young it really helped develop my passion for animals. In my family we currently have an elderly Jack Russel (who still has plenty of energy in her!), two Axolotls and a Bearded Dragon. I have also had horse riding lessons so anything big to small, it has increased my drive in wanting to expand my knowledge on many different family pets that come in all different shapes and sizes. Anything that has scales that needs a pop in visit for its dinner, or to a dog who needs a nice long walk. Whatever personality they have, they will always be treated as my best friend with loves of attention love and care.

Growing up on my family farm I’ve been extremely lucky to be surrounded by animals my whole life and have a strong passion for seeing my animals thrive. I have three collies and an elderly cat as well as a flock of my own sheep, which despite their constant efforts to escape are my pride and joy! With four years experience in the dog grooming industry I am confident in handling dogs of any breed, age and temperament. Prior to Top and Tails I have had the opportunity to care for several families pets including dogs, cats, chickens and horses with my experience ranging from a quick dog walk up to a two week stay. I’m a strong believer that pets are part of the family and should be provided with no less than perfect care, no matter their shape or size!

As I have owned a St.Bernard and currently own a German Shephard I understand how much love you have for your fur babies and how important they are to you. I have completed my Animal Care Level 2 and hope to future expand my qualifications in this field at some point in the future. I have 3 rescue cats of my own who live a life of pure luxury. I endeavour to make sure all my client's pets feel just as loved and cared for as my own. Whether you need someone to pop in for half an hour, or stay overnight to supervise your furry family members, I'm dedicated to giving the highest level of care possible.

I currently have a cat called Hector who is spoilt rotten and have a huge love for horses which I spend a lot of time around. I have spent time with animals of all shapes and sizes and have previously volunteered at a petting zoo. Whatever animal I am visiting will have my full love and attention from start to finish!

Since being a child I have always had a love for animals from all shapes and sizes. I have my own 10yr old furkid Levi who is a cat who likes to think he's boss and rules the roost. I have over 6.5years experience working at a local vets where I pride myself on giving pets and their owners the best care, my client's trust in me with their furkids is overwhelming and love bringing them into see me as they know how I like to make their pets feel at ease at the vets with treats and tummy tickles and also the extra time I take with the more nervous patient's to make them feel more secure and safe. I have gained lots of knowledge and experience working at the vets with all different dog breeds, cats and exotics and looking after families furkids is always a honour to me as we know how they are part of the family.

I have always been fascinated with animal welfare, conservation and preservation. I found a great respect for those in animal study such as David Attenborough and Steve Irwin. I had great opportunities growing up to be surrounded by animals. We had chickens, small animals, reptiles, cats and dogs plus a horse at one point! I initially started offering pet care services on Rover and fell in love with the work. Knowing the struggle of finding care for unique pets myself, I wanted to expand my services to include pet care to a wider variety of animals: thus, Tops and Tails was created. My aim for Top and Tails is to produce a worry-free service for all our clients, as a pet owner one of my biggest fears is the worry of leaving my family member behind. We strive to provide the best care for each pet in our care from small hamsters and fish to our more peculiar pets like sheep and snakes. Besides my personal pet experiences I've volunteered for B.A.R.C animal rescue, fostered and socialized rescues to be rehomed and also volunteered at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park. I've hatched, raised and sold several clutches of Bearded Dragon babies making sure they all went to the perfect homes. During the COVID Lockdown I attended an online Aquatic Mammals Course and started selling my own poultry flocks eggs in my local town. I have an Enhanced DBS on the update system and completed my Pet First Aid L2 (VTQ) 15.06.2023. I would love to expand Top and Tails to include some grooming features in the future as we grow into a great team of animal enthusiasts.
